Rangers on brink of deal for Italian-based Super Eagles striker
Published: June 30, 2023Glasgow Rangers are closing in on a deal with Cremonese for the signature of Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers.
This is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who disclosed on his Twitter page on Friday afternoon that Rangers are on the verge of signing Dessers.
Per the report, Rangers and Cremonese have agreed on a final fee for the Nigerian attacker and documents are being drafted for the conclusion of the deal.
The Light Blues want the former Genk forward to bolster the attacking department despite the arrival of Sam Lammers from Atalanta.
The Scottish giants have been on the trail of the striker for a while and have been said to be finding it difficult to strike a deal with Cremonese due to their insistence on paying his £6.5 million asking price.
With the relegation of the Gray and Reds to Serie B, the club wants to recoup as much as possible on the former Eredivisie striker to make up the loss that will be incurred from their relegation
Last season, the 4-cap Nigeria international directly participated in thirteen goals (10 goals, 3 assists), including nine in the colours of Cremonese.
