AC Milan revolution: Seven-time European champions strike agreement with Chukwueze
Published: July 01, 2023
seven-time European champions AC Milan have reportedly gotten the approval of Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze to proceed with transfer negotiations with Villarreal for his services.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the right winger is interested in joining the ranks of AC Milan in this transfer window after speaking with the representatives of the Italian club.
Per the report, Chelsea star Christian Pulisic, USA midfielder of Ghanaian descent Yunus Musa and Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders have also chosen to join the Rossoneri alongside the Nigerian forward.
The Red and Blacks have identified the electric winger as a priority for the right flank of their attack as they seek to bolster their attacking department ahead of the new season.
Stefano Pioli's side finished 20 points adrift of Napoli last season in 4th position which is a stark difference from the previous season when they won the Scudetto and are determined to bounce back next season.
Chukwueze is running into the final year of his contract and Villarreal are open to selling him in this transfer window.
The 28-cap Nigerian International was in brilliant form last season as he bagged 13 goals and eleven assists in all competitions, his best return in the colours of the Yellow Submarine.
