As per Premier League rules, all U17 players are required to start next season on a scholarship deal before they are permitted to sign their first professional contracts.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported on March 15, 2023 that Timileyin Adekunle and Theodore Adelusi have accepted a two-year scholarship and will be among Tottenham's new intake of academy scholars for the 2023-2024 season.
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that the two Golden Eaglets-eligible players have joined their U18 team as full-time first year scholars.
Talented England U16 international Callum Olusesi is the third player of Nigerian descent who has signed a scholarship deal.
Adekunle, Adelusi and Olusesi were members of the Tottenham Hotspur squad that won the U17 Premier League Cup last season, with the latter also involved in the U18 Premier League Cup success.
Olusesi registered fourteen appearances in the U18 Premier League over the course of the 2022-2023 season and also made his debut in the UEFA Youth League whilst still a schoolboy.
