Published: July 05, 2023
William Troost-Ekong's transfer to PAOK is done and dusted, with the Greek Super League club announcing his signing on Tuesday, July 4.
The Super Eagles assistant captain has appended his signature to a three-year deal that will keep him at PAOK until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
PAOK have not disclosed the transfer fee agreed for the former Watford star but a fee of 1.1 million euros has been mooted.
For the forthcoming season, the Nigeria national teamer will play with the number 15 at the back of his jersey.
It's the same number he was assigned during his loan spell at Italian Serie A club US Salernitana 1919 in the second half of last season and also as a youth team player at Tottenham Hotspur in 2012-2013.
Troost-Ekong donned the number 5 at Watford, Udinese, Bursaspor and FK Haugesund,
He began his football career at SV Overbos before spells at the Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur academy, and has played for FC Groningen, FC Dordrecht, KAA Gent and Udinese at senior level.
On Tuesday night, Troost-Ekong joined his new PAOK teammates at their training camp in the Netherlands ahead of their first pre-season friendly on Dutch soil against Steaua Bucharest.
