Ndidi is Galatasaray's Plan B if they cannot sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder
Published: August 02, 2023
Galatasaray will consider a move for Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi if they cannot sign their primary target Tanguy Ndombélé.
According to Turkish news channel A Haber, the Super Lig champions are interested in buying a defensive midfielder before the end of the transfer window and have identified the Nigerian international as a target.
The 26-year-old Ndidi is being considered as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ndombélé.
Galatasaray's first bid for Ndombélé was deemed insufficient by Tottenham Hotspur and it remains to be seen whether a second bid would be accepted by the Premier League club.
Leicester City got relegated to the Championship last campaign alongside Southampton and Leeds United and are expected to lose some of their key players to other top clubs in Europe.
The Foxes have already lost the duo of Harvey Barnes and James Maddison to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
Ndidi is another player tipped to leave the Foxes before the close of the transfer window.
The former Genk midfielder has logged 237 appearances since landing at the King Power Stadium, scoring 11 goals while producing twelve assists.
He has also been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
