With a statement on their official website, 9-time Azerbaijan champions Neftchi Baku have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Aaron Samuel Olanare.
Aaron has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Neftchi Baku and will play with the number 25 at the back of his jersey in the 2023-2024 season.
The 29-year-old previously played for clubs in Norway, China, Russia, Israel and Turkey, as well as Shooting Stars and Rivers United in his homeland.
Vålerenga, Sarpsborg 08, Guangzhou R&F, CSKA Moscow, Amkar Perm, Beitar Jerusalem, Sichuan Longfor, Changchun Yatai and Erzurumspor are the foreign clubs he has represented.
Aaron made his Super Eagles debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sudan and has totaled seven appearances for the three-time African champions, scoring two goals.
The left-footed striker has been in the international wilderness since September 2017 when he was a non-playing substitute in a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
In 56 appearances for his last club Erzurumspor, he netted 13 goals and provided five assists.
Aaron won the Chinese League One with Changchun Yatai in 2020 and was Russian champion with CSKA Moscow in the 2015-2016 season.
