Tottenham Hotspur interested in signing Bournemouth attacker Dominic Solanke
Published: December 25, 2023Tottenham Hotspur are the latest Premier League club to show an interest in signing Super Eagles-eligible attacker Dominic Solanke who is having an outstanding season at Bournemouth.
Solanke, who has been in the international wilderness since his solitary England cap in November 2017, has put himself in the shop window with a number of goalscoring displays this season.
The 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner has tallied 11 goals in seventeen Premier League appearances, including a first career hat-trick in his most recent outing against Nottingham Forest.
According to The Sun UK, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a striker next summer and have identified Solanke as a potential target.
The Chelsea academy product has also been linked with fellow London clubs Arsenal and West Ham United.
Solanke has shown that he can play at a high level after an unsuccessful stint with Liverpool, where he struggled for game time with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino ahead of him in Jurgen Klopp's pecking order of forwards, leading to a permanent departure from Anfield in January 2019.
Tottenham will continue keeping tabs on the Anglo-Nigerian attacker until the end of the season with a view to making a bid for his services.
In September, Solanke signed a new four-year contract with Bournemouth, keeping him at Vitality Stadium until 2027.
