Done deal: Sevilla confirm signing of Super Eagles winger Ejuke on three-year contract
Published: June 17, 2024
Through an official statement on their website, Sevilla have announced the signing of Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke as a free agent.
The 26-year-old passed his medical and has agreed a three-year deal with the Spanish outfit.
He becomes the first signing of the summer for García Pimienta's side who were not at their best in La Liga last term and need a host of quality players to prevent a recurrence of the same next season.
Ejuke can operate on both flanks in the attack but is primarily a left winger and will face competition for a place in the starting lineup, thus must hit the ground running.
After making 65 appearances across all competitions and providing 18 goal involvements, the Russian side loaned him out to Hertha Berlin and Royal Antwerp in the past two seasons.
He was part of the Super Eagles squad that featured in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, where he played in two games and hasn't featured for the team since then.
Ejuke's last call up was in 2022 when he was invited for the international friendly encounter against Algeria.
