Newcastle United are poised to intensify their pursuit of Super Eagles-eligible winger Noni Madueke
According to GIVEMESPORT, the Magpies are keen on signing a winger as soon as possible with the Chelsea forward being one of their targets, alongside a defender in a bid to help their preparation for the new season.
The future of Miguel Almiron is unclear with the forward being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and Madueke is being targeted as a potential replacement for the Paraguayan.
Besides the England youth international,Wolves forward Pedro Neto is on their sights but Tottenham are reportedly in the lead for his signature while Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville has also caught their attention.
There is a massive change going on at Newcastle with co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi departure and the appointment of Paul Mitchell as the new Sporting Director, replacing Dan Ashworth who has left for Manchester United.
The appointment of Mitchell will affect the pursuit for Madueke as Newcastle will now have to decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to get the signing of the former PSV forward.
The 23-year-old's place at Chelsea is under threat with the arrival of Enzo Maresca who is said to be targeting a move for another right winger and this might lead to the exit of the Anglo-Nigerian forward.
