Confirmed: Brighton & Hove loan out Dutch-born 2022 Flamingos invitee who supports Ajax Amsterdam
Published: September 20, 2024
Nigerian goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor will not make her Women's Super League debut on Saturday afternoon when Brighton & Hove face off with Everton in their season opener
With a statement on their official webpage, Brighton & Hove confirmed on Wednesday that the 2022 Flamingos invitee has joined National League side Plymouth Argyle on a season-long loan, with paperwork completed before the close of the transfer window.
Aged 19, Erhabor signed her first professional contract with the Seagulls in January 2024 before heading to Scottish Women’s Premier League side Hibernian for the remainder of the campaign.
The promising youngstar was named in thirteen matchday squads during her loan spell at Hibernian and made her senior debut against Hearts in April 2024.
Although she has not made an appearance for Brighton's first team, she has been invited to train with the main squad on multiple occasions.
Playing for the Seagulls U19s, the goalkeeper was in the starting lineup and contributed to their win in the Nike Premier Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur.
Erhabor, answering quickfire questions from Plymouth Argyle media to let the fans know a bit more about her, revealed that she supports Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, and her best moment as a player so far was signing her first professional contract.
She admitted that Bayern Munich and Germany legend Manuel Neuer is her biggest inspiration.
