The Confederation of African Football have released the final shortlists for the various awards that will be handed out on December 16 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
Ademola Lookman has made the final five-man shortlist for the African Men's Player of the Year.
The Atalanta ace is in contention with Brighton & Hove Albion forward Simon Adingra, Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi and South Africa shot-stopper Ronwen Williams for the award.
Chiamaka Nnadozie is in contention for two awards. She has been nominated alongside Morocco's Sanaa Mssoudy and Zambia's Barbara Banda for the African Women's Player of the Year.
The Paris FC shot-stopper has also made the final shortlist for the Women's Goalkeeper of the Year, which she won last year.
Morocco's Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa's Andile Dlamini are the ones seeking to dethrone her.
Following their performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles are in contention for the Men's National Team of the Year alongside AFCON champions Ivory Coast and South Africa.
The Super Falcons are also in the running for the Women's Team of the Year. The record African champions represented the continent at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Morocco and South Africa are the two teams in contention with them for the award.
NWFL Premiership champions Edo Queens and Falconets forward Chiamaka Okwuchukwu are still in the running for the Club of the Year (Women) and Young Player of the Year (Women) respectively.
