Snapped: Chukwueze resumes team training at AC Milan ahead of Parma clash
Published: January 24, 2025
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has resumed team training at AC Milan as he edges closer to a return to action ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash against Parma at the San Siro.
Chukwueze has been sidelined since the Rossoneri’s final match of 2024 against AS Roma, where he suffered a lesion of his left biceps femoris.
However, the Nigerian international has now fully resolved the muscular issue and was pictured training with his teammates on Friday.
The training session began with gym activation exercises before moving to the pitch, where the squad engaged in rondos to warm up.
The session progressed to technical drills focused on ball possession, tactical preparations for the Parma match, and concluded with a match on a reduced-size pitch.
Since joining AC Milan in 2023 from Villarreal, Chukwueze has struggled to replicate the form that made him a standout player in La Liga.
The 25-year-old has managed six goals and four assists in 55 appearances across all competitions, a record that has raised concerns about his future at the club.
Reports suggest the winger has been linked with a return to Spain or a potential move to the Premier League.
However, with the arrival of new manager Sérgio Conceição, Chukwueze has a fresh opportunity to prove his worth and rediscover the form that made him a key player at Villarreal.
Chukwueze will hope to feature in Sunday’s game against Parma and kickstart a new chapter under Conceição’s leadership.
As Milan look to reignite their campaign, the Nigerian international will aim to live up to expectations and cement his place in the team.
