Romano reveals Osimhen will leave Napoli for good this summer amid Man Utd, Chelsea interest
Published: April 16, 2025
Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will begin weighing up transfer options in May, ahead of a possible summer move.
Osimhen, who has enjoyed a blistering season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus.
The Super Eagles star has been in sensational form, netting 29 goals and providing six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
Despite the growing transfer speculation, Osimhen remains focused on helping Galatasaray secure a domestic double before the end of the season.
However, speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Osimhen is expected to return to parent club Napoli before completing a permanent move elsewhere this summer.
"The reality is for Osimhen to leave Galatasaray, return to Napoli and leave Napoli," Romano said. "Osimhen is not staying at Napoli and most likely not staying at Galatasaray."
Romano further revealed that the 26-year-old striker has received interest from clubs across multiple leagues and will begin assessing the options on the table in the coming weeks.
"Osimhen is going to access, stating from next week. Already from May, Osimhen will access the potential options on the table," he explained.
"Options could be in several countries, Premier League, Saudi, and also let's see what happens in the Serie A."
Romano added that while Juventus remain interested, Napoli would be reluctant to sell their star man to a direct Serie A rival, making a domestic transfer more complicated.
"Obviously Napoli hope to not sell the player to Juventus, so that would not be an easy one."
As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen will hope to sort his future before the start of next season.
