Barrow end of season decisions: Arsenal product Ogungbo released, Duru returns to Blackburn

Following the conclusion of the 2024-2025 League Two season, Barrow AFC have announced the club's retained and released list.
Irish-born Nigerian defender Mazeed Ogungbo will be released following the expiration of his contract on June 30, 2025.
The former Republic of Ireland youth international transferred to Barrow in the summer of 2023, having spent eight years at Premier League giants Arsenal.
In his final season at Barrow, Ogungbo appeared in two matches across all competitions, logging thirty one minutes.
In search of playing opportunities, the 22-year-old joined non-league club Hemel Hempstead Town in the January transfer window, and scored three goals in 21 league matches.
Mazeed debuted for Arsenal's U18 side at just 15 years old and was also named in the first-team matchday squad twice during the 2021-2022 season.
Meanwhile, United States U20 international of Nigerian descent Leo Duru has returned to his parent club Blackburn Rovers following the conclusion of his loan spell at Barrow.
The Manchester-born defender played eight matches for Barrow, scoring his first senior goal in a 2-0 win versus Accrington Stanley.
A right back by trade, Duru made his Championship and Carabao Cup debuts for Blackburn Rovers in August 2024.
