Paris FC confirm departure of Super Falcons goalkeeper amid Everton links

With a statement on the official website, French Premiere Ligue side Paris FC have confirmed the departure of back-to-back CAF Goalkeeper of the Year (Women), Chiamaka Nnadozie, amid speculation linking the Nigeria international with a transfer to the Women's Super League.

Score Nigeria reported in April that Nnadozie has agreed to join Everton, where she is set to link up with international teammate Toni Payne — a move that would mark the end of her five-year stint with Paris FC.

In her final season at Paris FC, she played a key role as the capital outfit won the Coupe de France Feminine.

Signed from Nigerian powerhouse Rivers Angels in 2020, Nnadozie was named the Premiere Ligue's best goalkeeper for the 2023-2024 season.

The 24-year-old began her football journey as a striker before making the switch to goalkeeping, a transition that has since defined her career.

After featuring for Nigeria at U17 and U20 levels, she was promoted to the senior national team, the Super Falcons, and was named in the squads for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations as well as the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cups.

During her time at Paris FC, Nnadozie made history by becoming the first African goalkeeper to play in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
