Empoli- There's An Interest For KENNETH OBODO
Published: June 09, 2012
Pianetaempoli.it says one of the objectives of the summer market of Serie B club Empoli is Kenneth Obodo, a player who has the same qualities as his elder brother Christian.
The 27-year-old is also attracting huge interest from other teams in Italy's lower division including Lega Pro Prima Divisione A team Benevento, who were close to announcing the acquisition of the player, but failed to turn up for the signing ceremony as he had traveled to Nigeria to settle pressing family problems.
Pisa are doing everything possible to extend the contract of Kenneth Obodo, who ran out of contract at the end the 2011 - 2012 campaign. He is unlikely to accept a new deal.
Obodo has adapted to Italian football. In three seasons with Pisa, the Warri born player bagged 4 goals in 79 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
