BROWN IDEYE Eyes Porto Scalp
Published: October 23, 2012
Dynamo Kiev forward Brown Ideye, who replaced Nosa Igiebor after 77 minutes in the Super Eagles 6 - 1 mauling of Liberia, has shared his thoughts and impressions on the team's qualification for Africa's premier competition.
''Yes it is good for us and we are happy that we qualified for the next edition of the African Nations Cup. I want to assure all Nigerians that Super Eagles will be in South Africa next year,'' Ideye told Brila FM Radio.
On Wednesday, Dynamo Kiev are away to Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League. Ideye says the match at Estádio Do Dragão is very important in the ambitions of the capital side to qualify for the knockout rounds of the competition.
'' It is an important game for us. We are looking forward to the game, going there to pick a point. We have a lot of talented players in the team though we are still learning. We can qualify for the next round of the Champions League,'' says Ideye.
