John Ogu Starts Full Training With Academica
Published: May 02, 2013
After more than a month of inactivity, John Ogu is set to return to action this weekend against Vitória Setúbal.
He had been on the sidelines due to a knee complaint since late March but trained without difficulty with the rest of the Academica squad on Wednesday.
In Ogu's absence, Academica lost two games in the Primeira Liga and had to fire coach Pedro Emanuel, who convinced the Nigeria international to snub offers from Denmark (OB Odense) and Sporting Braga last summer.
The 25 - year - old has made 18 appearances (10 starts) in the championship but is still searching for his first goal.
With 3 matches to go before the end of the season, Académica are in 13th position, just 3 points ahead of relegation candidate Moreirense.
