Eagles Have Landed In Salvador, Egwueke Wowed By City

On Tuesday afternoon, the Nigeria delegation arrived Salvador, venue of the match against South America heavyweights Uruguay.
They will have few hours to rest before the team departs for training later in the evening at Estádio de Pituaçu, home ground of Esporte Clube Bahia.
Players and officials were offered coconut water on arrival but this was rejected. Later before the squad left for lunch, they had exhausted the stock of coconut water that was supplied.
Warri Wolves defender Azubuike Egwueke spoke to the media before the players checked into their hotel room.
''This is my first time in Salvador. I hope to know the city, because now I really liked what I saw,'' Egwueke told globoesporte.globo.com.
Victory against Uruguay on Thursday will see Nigeria progress to the semi - finals of the Confederations Cup, no matter the outcome of their final group game against World and European champions Spain.
