Galatasaray insider Emre Kaplan has revealed that the Turkish champions are prepared to pay Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray are pushing ahead with their efforts to bring Fernandes to Turkey, with the midfielder yet to agree to fresh terms with Manchester United.
The Turkish champions have identified the Portugal international as a key target and are prepared to back their interest with a substantial financial package.
Osimhen is currently Galatasaray’s highest earner, with his salary serving as the benchmark for the club’s proposed offer to Fernandes.
Explaining the latest development, Kaplan said Galatasaray are ready to match Osimhen’s salary and meet whatever transfer fee is required.
“Galatasaray is ready to pay Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is currently the highest earner in the team,” he said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
“They will also put whatever is asked for the transfer fee on the table. However, I think the reports in the English press are being used in negotiations with United,”
Galatasaray’s interest in Fernandes comes as the club continues to strengthen its squad, while the midfielder remains without an agreement with Manchester United over a new contract.
