Details Of Chelsea Final Workout: Moses Excused From 5-A-Side, Extra Drills For Argentina GK
Published: April 21, 2018
Victor Moses was part of Chelsea's first-team players that reported for training on Saturday ahead of tomorrow's Emirates FA Cup semifinal showdown against Southampton at the National Stadium in London.
The Nigeria international did not participate in the full workout as manager Antonio Conte did not want to over-task the eleven players that started the Premier League game at Burnley two days ago.
According to CarefreeYouth who witnessed the Blues final workout, the Italian gaffer did not give out any clues regarding his possible starting starting XI to face the Saints, apart from the fact that Argentina international Willy Caballero participated in extra shot-stopping drills.
''All the players that started against Burnley came out, did stretches and had a few shots on goal then went back inside,'' he told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''The substitutes for the Burnley match and others had a five-a-side game then a few shots at Caballero then came in. When the whole squad was out, the players didn't wear bibs.
''Moses went inside with the rest of the starters. It is very possible Caballero will start, he has started every round of the FA Cup.''
Moses has played only one game for Chelsea in this season's FA Cup and that was against Leicester City in the quarterfinals last month, he was not utilized off the bench against Newcastle United and Hull City.
