Official: Arsenal's Top Scorer Signs New Long-Term Contract
Published: December 20, 2018Through a statement on their official website, Arsenal have announced that the top scorer for their Women's team, Vivianne Miedema has signed a new contract with the club.
The financial terms and length of her new contract were not disclosed but the Gunners informed that she has put pen to paper on a long-term deal.
Since arriving Arsenal from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2017, Miedema has registered an impressive 29 goals in 28 starts and has three hat-tricks to her name in the current season scored against Lewes, Liverpool and Reading.
''I think the direction the club is going in, me being happy here, the fact we’re playing good football, it all made me really appreciate the club,'' Miedema told Arsenal's official website, arsenal.com.
''I just want to be a part of what we’re doing here and keep growing. I’m happy and I hope we’re just going to do a lot of good stuff at the club.''
A Netherlands international, the 22-year-old Vivianne Miedema lists HZVV, VV de Weide and SC Heerenveen among her former teams.
