Kalmar FF Allow Sick Chidiebere Nwakali To Return To Nigeria
Published: February 14, 2019Swedish Allsvenskan side Kalmar FF have permitted former Flying Eagles star Chidiebere Nwakali to return to his homeland as a result of illness.
The new signing was training with his new teammates at their get-together in Belek, Turkey before he suddenly fell ill and has returned to Nigeria to continue his treatment.
Kalmar Head Coach, Magnus Pehrsson told the club's official website on Wednesday : ''Chidiebere visited a doctor on site in Turkey on Tuesday.
''There, it was clear, after an investigation, that they could not offer him the care he can get home in Nigeria. Therefore, we concluded that the best way is to fly him there for further treatment.
''We aim to have him back in Kalmar next Friday when the collective training starts again''.
Chidiebere Nwakali previously represented Scandinavian clubs IK Start and Sogndal on loan from Manchester City.
