Manchester United Striker Of Nigerian Descent Called Up To England Youth Team
Published: February 14, 2019Manchester United striker Shola Shoretire received a call-up to England U15 National Team this month.
The Nigeria-eligible youngster was named in the starting line-up as the Young Lions were beaten 3-1 by their Belgian counterparts in an international friendly at at St George’s Park on Wednesday, February 13.
Shoretire and his international teammates trained at the English Football Association's national football centre at Burton upon Trent before the fixture against the Belgians.
Pierre Dwomoh, Denzel De Roeve, Dyland Demuynck were on target for the visitors while West Ham starlet Divin Mubama netted for England.
Shoretire had a hand in five goals ( 3 goals, 2 assists) when he made his debut for England U15s in their 7-2 hammering of Turkey back in December.
The 15-year-old plays for Manchester United's U16 team and is the youngest player in history to feature in the UEFA Youth League.
