'New Aubameyang' Scores, Provides Assist & Wins Penalty Before Reporting For International Duty
The 'new Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang', David Okereke continued his impressive form in the Italian Serie B as AC Spezia beat Benevento 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at  Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Saturday afternoon.

In the 32nd minute, Matteo Ricci converted a spot kick after the lively Okereke was brought down in the box by  goalkeeper Montipò but the 1-0 lead lasted only two minutes, with the home team restoring parity through Insigne.

Alessio Da Cruz made it 2-1 on 64 minutes, assisted by Okereke, before the Nigerian scored his team's third goal three minutes later.

The versatile striker has spoken of his happiness at scoring before reporting for international duty with the Nigerian U23 National Team on Monday, March 18.

Speaking to the official website of Spezia after the game, Okereke said : ''I wanted to go home with a goal, to present myself in the best possible way to the commitment with the Nigeria shirt.

''The only problem is the yellow card that will force me to miss the game with Salernitana ".

Okereke has contributed to 18 goals (8 goals, 10 assists) in 24 appearances in the Italian second-tier this term.
