Queens Park Rangers Boss Admits Uncertainty Over The Futures Of Eze, Osayi-Samuel
Published: August 21, 2020Queens Park Rangers coach Mark Warburton has admitted there's uncertainty over the futures of Nigerian duo Bright Osayi-Samuel and Eberechi Eze ahead of the upcoming Championship season.
The two attack-minded players have valid contracts with the Hoops until at least June 30, 2021 but continue to be linked with a move away from the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium after putting themselves in the shop window last term.
Eze and Osayi-Samuel swept the major categories at QPR's End of Season award, winning a total of five awards between them, including the Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season prizes.
On reports linking Eze and Osayi-Samuel with a move from the club, Warburton explained to QPR's official webpage : "Obviously, we’ve got a question mark over certain players – that’s been well documented for many, many weeks. But those guys have applied themselves really well.
"All credit to them. Their job is to focus on football. Players come in, and players go out. All you can do as a professional athlete is concentrate on what you can control – how you apply yourself, how you train and how you work. Let the agents and the various other people at higher pay grades get on with the rest.
"If you work on your game, there is not much more you can do. As I said, those guys deserve a lot of credit for how they’ve applied themselves."

Eze had a direct hand in 22 goals (14 goals, 8 assists) over the course of last season, while Osayi-Samuel contributed to 14 goals (5 goals, 9 assists) - a season high for both players.
