Published: August 24, 2020Victor Osimhen has reported for duty at his new club Napoli, just over three weeks after his signing was confirmed by the two-time Italian Serie A champions, allnigeriasoccer.com reports
The Nigeria international became the most expensive signing in the club's history after the Blues paid Lille 70m euros for his services, which could potentially rise to 80m euros if bonuses are included.
Osimhen has been selected in a 34-player group by manager Gennaro Gattuso for the club's pre-season training camp in Castel di Sangro, where they will be based until September 4th.
The 21-year-old is in line to make his non-competitive debut for the Azzurri when they take part in a three-team friendly tournament featuring Aquila and Castel di Sangro on August 28.
Napoli's second friendly comes up against Serie C club Teramo a week on Friday.
Osimhen, the Golden Boot winner at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup, has been assigned the number 9 jersey for the 2020-2021 season.
