Super Eagles Center Back Pictured Training With Glasgow Rangers Pre-Hamilton Academical
Published: August 28, 2020Glasgow Rangers will return to Scottish Premiership action on Saturday when they tackle Hamilton Academical and manager Steven Gerrard has been handed a pre-match boost with Leon Balogun returning to full training, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Nigeria international was pictured training with his teammates during their penultimate workout before their trip to the Fountain of Youth Stadium in Hamilton.
Balogun has been unavailable for selection since he suffered a quad injury in Rangers' 3-0 win against St. Johnstone on August 12, missing back-to-back matches with Livingston and Kilmarnock.
Without the summer signing in the squad, Rangers maintained their perfect clean sheet record in the new season - five out of five.
Gerrard will also monitor the fitness of another Nigeria international in Joe Aribo leading up to the game vs Hamilton Academical after the midfielder sat out the last two matches due to an ankle complaint.
Rangers are level on 13 points with Hibernian but top the table because of their superior goal difference.
