Rohr, NFF bar fans from feasting their eyes on Super Eagles first workout on grass; Sanusi, Uzoho arrive
Published: March 23, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Super Eagles will have their first training session on grass at the Teslim Balogun Stadium located in Surulere, Lagos on Tuesday afternoon, starting from 1630 hours.
Manager Gernot Rohr, who will supervise the session, now has twenty players at his disposal with the arrival of APOEL goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi.
The Nigeria Football Federation in conjunction with the German football tactician have recommended that fans should not be allowed to attend today's training session due to the COVID-19 protocols in place.
However, some Nigerian media outlets will be allowed to witness proceedings at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The players in camp will hold a fitness session inside the Eko Hotels & Suites this morning.
Meanwhile, Rohr is hopeful his top scorer in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Victor Osimhen will link up with the team later today, while Samuel Chukwueze, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are the remaining players still being expected.
