Osimhen reports for duty ahead of Super Eagles morning training session 1030 hours
Only two of the invited players Odion Ighalo and John Noble are still being expected in camp ahead of the national team's matchday five 2022 World Cup qualifying match against Liberia.

Noble was called in as a replacement for Omonia Nicosia netminder Francis Uzoho who couldn't make it to Morocco due to illness, while Ighalo has been recalled to the squad more than two years after he called time on his international career.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed on Wednesday morning that Napoli star Victor Osimhen has linked up with his international teammates in Tangier, bringing the total number of players in camp to twenty-two.

Nigeria were handed a boost on Sunday when Osimhen returned to action approximately a week after he aggravated a calf injury in training, and the number 9 erased all doubts about his fitness by logging ninety minutes against Hellas Verona.

The former Lille man is Nigeria's top scorer in 2022 World Cup qualifying with two goals, an honour he shares with Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Super Eagles will have their first training session today at 1030 hours, a team meeting will hold at 1215 hours, lunch is at 1300 hours and then by 1700 hours the Super Eagles will have another training session.
