Published: December 28, 2022
With a statement on their official website, Premier League giants Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Ivory Coast international David Datro Fofana.
Chelsea wrote further that the Molde striker will join the Blues on 1 January 2023 when the winter transfer market officially opens for business.
The length of contract and financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano has informed that Fofana has put pen to paper on a long-term deal following a successful medical.
Romano confirmed that the deal taking the 20-year-old to Chelsea was brokered by Oslo-based Nigerian agent Atta Aneke, whose flagship client is former Watford and Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo.
Fofana was Molde's top scorer in 2022, finishing the season with fifteen goals in the Eliteserien, two in the Norwegian Cup and four in the UEFA Europa Conference League including the qualifying rounds.
He played a total of sixty five matches for Molde in a two-year association with the club.
