'Victor Boniface with a fan' - Bayer Leverkusen aim dig at Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane
Published: September 19, 2023Bayer Leverkusen have taken to social media to taunt Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane.
One of the hot topics being discussed in the new season is about the better striker between two newcomers to the Bundesliga Kane and Victor Boniface.
Kane moved to Bayern Munich last month for a fee of 100 million euros and Boniface was acquired from Belgian Pro League club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for a fee of 20 million euros plus bonuses.
All eyes were on the Tottenham Hotspur legend and newly-capped Nigeria international as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen faced off in the Bundesliga last Friday and it was the Englishman that came out on top at the end having opened the scoring in the 2-2 draw while the Nigerian fired blanks.
After four games, Kane and Boniface have almost identical records in the Bundesliga with the Bayern number 9 registering five goal involvements (4 goals, 1 assist), one less than Boniface who is on six (4 goals, 2 assists).
Although Boniface didn't get on the scoresheet against Bayern, Bayer Leverkusen's X account taunted Harry Kane
"Victor Boniface with a fan!" Bayer posted on X accompanied by a photo showing Boniface on the Allianz Arena turf with Harry Kane, in what appears to be a clear dig at the Bayern Munich striker.
