Raphael Onyedika was presented to the media and fans on Wednesday, three days after Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed his signing from Belgian champions Club Brugge.
The Nigeria international transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee of ten million euros and signed a five-contract valid until June 30, 2031.
Onyedika arrives at the Bundesliga club knowing he is following in the footsteps of one of Nigeria's greatest-ever footballers, Austin Okocha.
Okocha became a fan favourite during his four-year spell at Eintracht Frankfurt between 1992 and 1996, dazzling supporters with his extraordinary skill before going on to enjoy further success with Bolton Wanderers in England.
The Super Eagles midfielder admitted Okocha's legacy at the club is well known in Nigeria.
"Everybody in Nigeria knows about Jay-Jay Okocha. He’s a real legend in our country. Everyone knows about what he did at Eintracht and also in England," Onyedika was quoted as saying by the official website of Eintracht Frankfurt.
