According to reports in Turkey, Göztepe are preparing to sell another player to the Bundesliga following Rômulo Cardoso's €25 million move to RB Leipzig last summer.
Türkiye Gazetesi reports that newly promoted Bundesliga side SV Elversberg are interested in signing Göztepe's 22-year-old Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis.
Coventry City were linked with a move for Dennis at the start of the transfer window, but the Premier League new boys appear to have turned their attention elsewhere, with FC Nordsjælland midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi on the verge of completing a permanent switch to the Sky Blues.
In addition, Coventry City have activated the obligation-to-buy clause in the loan deal that brought Nigeria international Frank Onyeka to the club.
Negotiations between SV Elversberg and Göztepe are ongoing, with the Turkish Süper Lig side reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of around €10 million.
Dennis made 31 appearances for Göztepe last season, scoring three goals.
A product of HB Academy Abuja, the midfielder has been on the books of Göztepe since January 2023.
He was included in Nigeria's provisional squad for the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March 2025.
