Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran will work under a new coach at Women's Super League side Aston Villa.
Through a statement on their official webpage, Aston Villa confirmed on Tuesday morning that the club has parted company with Spanish tactician Natalia Arroyo.
In the interim, Brian Sørensen, the club's Women's Technical Advisor, will take charge of first-team affairs.
Sørensen will oversee the team for their next fixture on Wednesday when Aston Villa face Newcastle United Women in the Subway Players' Cup at Keys Park.
Arroyo was shown the exit door following a poor run of results and the straw that broke the camel's back was Sunday's 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Before their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Villa had drawn two and lost once in their opening three matches of the new WSL season.
Imuran was unavailable for selection in the WSL and League Cup trip to Nottingham Forest because she was lacking match fitness following her summer move from London City Lionesses.
The 22-year-old was part of the Super Falcons squads for the 2023 Fifa Women's World Cup and the 2026 Africa Women's Cup of Nations.
