Fresh from winning the Danish Superliga Player of the Month award, Friday Etim inspired FC Midtjylland to a historic home victory over FC Copenhagen on Sunday, October 11.
According to FC Midtjylland's official website, the match attracted a record crowd of 12,041 spectators, setting a new attendance record at MCH Arena.
Etim was named the Superliga Player of the Month after scoring three goals and registering an assist in September.
He continued his impressive form in Midtjylland's first match after the international break, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the win over FCK.
The forward opened the scoring in the 12th minute, heading home a Philip Billing free kick for his fifth league goal of the season.
Mohamed Elyounoussi equalised from the penalty spot in the 48th minute after a VAR review overturned the referee's initial decision to award a free kick.
Midtjylland regained the lead in the 60th minute when Etim intercepted Diant Ramaj's misplaced pass before setting up Denil Castillo, who fired a low shot into the empty net.
