Through official channels, Turkish Super Lig club Eyupspor have announced the signing of former Nigeria U20 international Ahmed Abdullahi on undisclosed terms.
The former Flying Eagles striker leaves Sunderland with two years remaining on his contract, bringing his spell with the Black Cats to an end as he embarks on a new chapter in Turkey.
Abdullahi departs Sunderland without making his competitive debut, despite being included in the matchday squads for the Carabao Cup and FA Cup clashes with Huddersfield Town and Port Vale last season.
Abdullahi joined Sunderland from Belgian side Gent in August 2024 and went on to become a key figure in the club's development squad during his final season.
His goals played a pivotal role in helping the Black Cats reach the Premier League Cup final.
The 22-year-old scored four goals in three Premier League 2 outings, and also scored twice in a 2-1 victory over Colchester United in the Premier League Cup.
On the international stage, Abdullahi represented Nigeria at the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, where he found the net in Nigeria's third-place playoff win against Tunisia.
