Galatasaray's Russia attacking midfielder Aleksey Batrakov has showered praise on Victor Osimhen ahead of Tuesday's international friendly between the 2018 World Cup hosts and Nigeria.
Batrakov will have to wait for another opportunity to exchange jerseys with his Galatasaray teammate as the striker is still recovering from injury and was not included in Nigeria's squad for their three fixtures during the September/October international window.
The Russia international switched to Galatasaray in the summer transfer window, signing a five-year deal to end his association with Lokomotiv Moscow.
Since joining the Istanbul giants, Batrakov has featured alongside Osimhen in two matches, against Göztepe and Başakşehir FK.
Batrakov is currently on international duty with Russia and was involved in their recent matches against Iran and Namibia.
The 21-year-old has been impressed by Osimhen's qualities both on and off the pitch.
"Osimhen is a top footballer and a good person," Batrakov was quoted as saying by Sport-Express.
Batrakov will be hoping to make his second appearance against the Super Eagles, having played the full 90 minutes in their friendly in Moscow in June 2025.
