SK Slavia Prague manager Jindřich Trpišovský has heaped praise on Super Eagles right-back Abdullahi Bewene following his impressive performance for Baník Ostrava, describing the Nigerian defender as a player with a bright future.
Bewene, who has been linked with a move to the Czech champions during the current summer transfer window, produced an outstanding display despite Baník Ostrava's 4-0 defeat to Slavia Prague on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was one of the standout performers for the visitors, showcasing his athleticism and attacking qualities throughout the contest.
Bewene finished the match with a 100 percent success rate in tackles and dribbles, while also registering three touches inside the opposition penalty area to continually trouble the Slavia defence.
Reacting to his performance, Trpišovský admitted he was impressed by the Nigerian's development and believes the defender possesses the qualities to become a top player.
"I see a different player in Bewene. He has a future ahead of him,” Trpišovský said via Ruik.
"He has brutal acceleration and speed. Even the offensive component.”
"He has to learn some things, but he has huge potential. Just like Siniyavskiy, these are players who are really unpleasant for us when they play against us."
Bewene has established himself as a key player for Baník Ostrava through a series of consistent performances, with his displays attracting interest from several clubs and fuelling speculation over his future.
With the summer transfer window still open, the Nigerian defender will be hoping to maintain his impressive form, continue his development, and resolve his future.
