Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has admitted he is unsure about the pitch conditions ahead of his side's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau.
The three-time African champions will face the Djurtus at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau, with kickoff scheduled for 1700 hours.
Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau head into the fixture level on three points after both teams recorded victories over Madagascar and Tanzania, respectively, on matchday one.
Chelle was asked about the playing surface during his pre-match press conference but opted against making an assessment before seeing it for himself.
The Franco-Malian tactician said: "I don't want to say the pitch is good or the pitch is bad. We work on the pitch. Like I said, we just need to stay focused on our game project.
"We try to play football. We will see during the training session if we can play football. I will think about the conditions."
Galatasaray's Renato Nhaga, Brest forward Mama Baldé, Trabzonspor attacker Franculino Djú, and former Everton striker Beto are among the eye-catching names expected to feature for Guinea-Bissau against the Super Eagles.
Chelle is aware of the threat posed by Guinea-Bissau, who have several players based in Europe.
"They have a great team and have players who play in Europe. This is a big game. The most important thing for us is to try to go forward, try to secure a victory, but it will not be easy," Chelle added.
"We have to stay focused on our group and our state of mind. This is the most important."
The Super Eagles trained at the National Stadium in Bissau on Monday evening.
