Ferencváros forward Bamidele Yusuf has expressed his willingness to play in any position after producing an outstanding performance in his side’s 3-1 victory over Celtic in a Europa League match at Celtic Park on Thursday night.
The Nigerian was the standout performer for the Hungarian giants, scoring once and providing two assists as Ferencváros secured a memorable away victory in Glasgow.
Yusuf opened the scoring in the 20th minute, curling an effort towards the far corner, via a deflection.
After Mika Baur’s equaliser, Yusuf provided the assists for goals scored by Kristoffer Zachariassen and Daniel Arzani.
Speaking after the game, the Ferencváros number 11 praised his teammates and revealed that he is prepared to play wherever manager Balázs Borbély believes he can make the biggest contribution.
"We have come a long way and it was very difficult to get these three points. Everyone was very excited," Yusuf told M4 Sport.
"The coach is the boss; he decides where I am good. I am ready to play in any position and I am very happy. I am satisfied with my current performance, with the goal and the two assists, but it was really fantastic from everyone.
"I said the day before yesterday that Daniel would shoot there today. He had to believe in that because there was a lot of quality in him.”
The victory against Celtic extended Ferencváros' unbeaten run in European competition this season, with the Magyar Kupa winners recording seven wins and two draws from their nine matches.
