EXCLUSIVE: Cherno More Snap Up Almeria's Stanley Okoro On Loan
Published: July 25, 2013
Bulgarian top division club Cherno More have snapped up top prospect Stanley Okoro.
20 - year - old Stanley Okoro, who has played for the Super Eagles as well as Nigeria's Under 17 and 20 teams, has joined Cherno More on loan for the remainder of the 2013 - 2014 season.
Having hugely impressed manager Georgi Ivanov during pre - season training, the starlet has been rewarded with a contract.
'' I can confirm I have signed a one - year contract with Cherno More. My jersey number is 20.
'' I'll play on loan from Almeria. I am still under contract with the Spanish club for the next three years.
'' My new teammates and the club have treated me nice since I arrived Bulgaria,'' Stanley Okoro, silver champion with the Golden Eaglets back in 2009, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Almeria have been promoted to Spain's La Liga , so it is understandable that Okoro wants to play in a club where he's guaranteed first team opportunities.
We should not forget that Stanley Okoro was once described as 'Little Messi' in his homeland.
