Elderson Echiejile Left Out Of Sporting Braga Europa League Squad
Published: August 15, 2013
Elderson Echiejile's future with Sporting Braga is now seriously in doubt after he was left out by the Portuguese club in their Europa League roster.
According to UEFA's official website, the league Cup winners have sent the list of 24 players for the tie against Romania vice - champions Pandurii Târgu Jiu but Echiejile's name was omitted.
Also, the 25 - year - old wing back has not been summoned by manager Jesualdo Ferreira for the league opener against Paços de Ferreira on Friday.
Reading between the lines, it would mean that Sporting Braga don't have Elderson Echiejile in their plans this coming season.
Already, the club have offered a contract to Joãozinho, who is expected to be the first choice left back.
Elderson , who has been linked with Besiktas (Turkey), Norwich (England) and Stuttgart (Germany) this window, is in the final year of his contract with the Archbishops.
