Published: September 13, 2013
FC Midtjylland have just extended the contracts of Rilwan Hassan and Sylvester Igboun.
Both are big players in the Super League and now opens the door for that they may also play for the Danish national team.
In January, Igboun can apply for Danish citizenship but teammates Izunna Uzochukwu and Rilwan Hassan have to wait until the summer of 2016.
Bold.dk citing BT quoted Rilwan Hassan as saying : “Will there be the opportunity to play for the Danish national team, I would love to do it.
“I am likely to stay in Denmark for nine or ten years, and it has become my second home.”
Sylvester Igboun added : “Right now I am thinking most about playing for my country, but I the Danish national coach calls, I will definitely think strongly about playing for Denmark and talk to my family about it.”
Izunna, like Igboun , wishes to play for the Super Eagles but he is also responsive if Morten Olsen calls.
