Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Victor Obinna says the Eagles will have to play the game of their lives if they are to overcome Ethiopia on Sunday in the first leg of the World Cup play - offs.
The 26 - year - old was in the squad that forced Ethiopia to a 2 - 2 draw the last time both countries met in Addis Ababa, with skipper Joseph Yobo equalizing four minutes from the final whistle.
“We are African champions and any team that plays against Nigeria will want to die. But inasmuch as they want to die for their country, we too also want to die for country, to show that we are African champions.
“I believe that together, playing as the coaches want us to play, as we have always played, we will win.” Victor Obinna told Kick Off.
The Anzhi Makhachkala target has played only two games in the Russian Premier League in the ongoing season.
