Nigeria Arrive In Ethiopia For World Cup Showdown
Published: October 12, 2013
Mikel Obi and the rest of the Super Eagles squad arrived Addis Ababa on Saturday morning ahead of the World Cup play - off match against Ethiopia.
There are just two games left to determine if Nigeria would be one of Africa’s flag-bearers the Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
And a score draw or win on Sunday at the Addis Ababa Stadium will make the journey to Brazil mathematically easier.
“We are happy that the Eagles are here for the game. They will stay at a five-star hotel Saro Mario.
“It is a standard hotel and that will be comfortable for them.
“We have done all that we need to do, Nigerians should pray for the team because it is not going to be an easy match.
“But I am upbeat the Eagles will come out of the game successful,” Chris Green, a member of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Federation, told Brila FM.
Not only the World Cup ticket is at stake, Ethiopians will be seeking revenge after losing 2 - 0 to Nigeria at the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
