Stakeholders Caution Former Commissioner, New 3SC Board Over War Of Words

The warfare of words embarked upon by the former Commissioner for Sports in OyoState, Dapo Lam-Adesina and the board of Shooting Stars Sports Club, led by acting Chairman, Tunde Kelani has been described as a big setback for the already dented image of the traditional club.
An ex-Shooting Star player and notable member of the player’s union, Sesan Odukoya who reacted on behalf of ex-footballers after a peace meeting called to broker truce between the warring player’s unions said the words of words between the former Commissioner and the 3SC board, if not stop is harmful for the promotion bid of the club.
It would be noted that Mr. Lam Adesina while featuring on different radio programme aired in Ibadan has alleged the Board of
responsible for the relegation of the club, as he also accused the team's Board of incompetence and financial recklessness, claiming the Board orchestrated the free-fall of 3SC when he was on leave and after he had left office.
The new acting Chairman of the 3SC’s management board, Babatunde Kelani has also placed the calamity that befell the Ibadan darling at door step of the youthful commissioner who he claimed hijacked all the board’s responsibility while in office in many interviews he recently granted to media.
Odukoya, former Stade ‘De Abidjan FC’s defender has however called on other concerned followers of the club to call the duo to order before their action truncate the quick promotion bid every fans wanted for the team.
“All these bickering was what responsible for where the team we all loved most now found itself.
“The accusations are just face-saving ploy, and would not do the club any good; it will rather damage its image more.
“They should all stop the noise and allow the new set of coaches employed to settle and face the task ahead of them”, Odukoya noted.
Meanwhile the newly appointed head coach of 3SC, Franklin Howard has pledged to do his very best in returning the team to NPFL as quickly as possible.
Howard said this during a 3-hour meeting he held on Tuesday with the club's management at its Jericho club house Ibadan.
The Management and the coach during the meeting also deliberated on the new blue-print for the club and the coaches planned
strategies for the in-coming season.
The club management however, assured Howard and his assistants of conducive working environment.
