Published: December 18, 2013
Sudan’s most successful team, Al Hilal have completed the signing of Stephen Worgu on a season- long loan from Oak Zeel, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
23 - year - old Worgu is technically not a free agent as his economic and sporting rights belong to the Nsukka based grassroots team.
But the CEO of Oak Zeel, Valentine Okechukwu Omeje has sanctioned the attacker’s transfer to Al Hilal without a single dollar credited to the domiciliary account of his organization.
“I will never stop the progress of any player under me. Money should not be the deciding factor in any deal, instead, we should consider the best interest of our client.
“If the player does well for Al Hilal, then it is a win - win situation for everybody in future, good for him and good for us.
“Stephen Worgu wants to show he is the same player Al-Merrikh paid big money for in 2008.
“I am delighted he is back to Sudan, an environment he is not a stranger to,” Valentine Omeje , who would be honored with a a chieftaincy title by his kinsmen later this month, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
