David Alaba Is 2013 Austrian Footballer Of The Year

                    Bayern Munich wingback David Alaba has been named the 2013 Austrian Footballer of the Year.
The award was administered by the Austrian news agency APA and the winner was chosen by the ten coaches of the Austrian top division.
“I am really pleased. This is an honour and I want to say thanks to all the trainers who voted for me,” said David Alaba.
To scoop the prestigious award, the 21 - year - old Austrian - Nigerian was chosen ahead of Kampl Kevin and Jonathan Soriano.
David Alaba has now been named the best player in Austria three times, level with retired international Herbert Prohaska.
The absolute record is held by Ivica Vastic who won in 1995, 1998, 1999 and 2007.
