Sporting Director of Rosenborg, Erik Hoftun has confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in the ongoing transfer market, which is the imminent departure of John Chibuike from the Norwegian club.
Unnamed teams in Russia, Israel and Turkey are dialoguing with Rosenborg on the transfer of the attacking midfielder, who can also be handy in attack.
“We have over time been negotiating with a club from Eastern Europe, but it is not only Russia.
“In addition, a Turkish and Israeli club are interested,’’ Erik Hoftun was quoted as saying by the electronic edition of Aftenposten.
John Chibuike , 25, has been with Rosenborg for the past two and a half years after his switch from BK Hacken.
In that time frame, he netted 19 goals in 58 Premier League matches.
